In the period from March 22 to April 5, 2025, at mountain resort Popova Shapka, Shar Mountain National Park, the winter exams of candidates for professional mountain leaders (International Mountain Leader), whose training began last year, were held.

The practical content was carried out on the slopes of the Ceripashina peak, and the theoretical tests and classroom exercises were carried out at the Konak and Victorian Heights hotels, whose staff we thank for their hospitality and professionalism. 

Training is underway for candidates from Macedonia and candidates who come mainly from countries in the region, who are divided into two groups. The training for candidates from Macedonia is conducted in Macedonian, and for candidates from the region in English.

Starting next week, their training continues with the summer modules of the UIMLA Standard, which will be conducted through training with physical presence, online sessions, as well as self-directed learning through so-called homework assignments consisting of independent field work, as well as research and processing of mountain tours and programs.
